High School

Aloha,

Sooooo high school kinda stinks. There's a lot of thinks you can't control and a lot of people you hate all smashed together. I mean, my stomach is growling in the middle of my math class and it's freaking awkward. I'd much rather just get up and eat lunch whenever I feel like it. I think school systems should start doing this: You, as a student, get to decide when you have your lunch. You get some kind of identification and some sort of check off system so that kids can't go down to lunch multiple times. BAM! Genius. I know it would be really inconvenient for teachers but whatever.

High school isn't all bad I guess. There are some people that I can stand (i.e. my friends) and some of the teachers are really fun to be around. There are fun events like winter carnival where the teachers get to make fools out of themselves in a basketball game with the seniors (they always cheat so the seniors win if they're losing). It's a good time. I had this teacher that always is in the game that has no balancing skills. He fell over twice in the game and when I had him as a teacher, he fell over when he was sitting in his desk grading papers.

I also like high school because it's organized. I have a schedule and I know what I'm doing. After college, the only thing that will dictate my schedule is work. I dunno, it's gunna be weird man.

P.S. I recently read Struck by Lightning and I wasn't impressed (I wasn't "struck by lightning" you could say). I guess I was supposed to be because one of my classmates got angry at me for not thinking it was super spectacular. I dunno, I just thought he didn't really picture high school very accurately but that's probably just me because maybe that was his experience. I also thought it had a bad ending (which I was supposed cry at, I guess). I thought it didn't really fit into the story. I know it was supposed to be sad because he was finally happy and then, well... spoilers, but it didn't really work for me. Whatever. Life goes on.
